WORLD
We here in the United States just finished a highly contested election where the results, according to what political party you identify with, showed how divided we are as a nation. What is missing is that the United States, is but a small piece of the world. The world is the earth, together with all of its countries, peoples and natural features. I believe that when you set aside the obvious differences as in skin color, gender, height, weight, eye color, language etc..., we have more in common than we are led to believe. However, if you listen to all the noise on television or social media, you would think that we are much more divided and different then we are similar. According to the unenlightened, finding common ground can seem like an insurmountable, if not impossible task. Or maybe some want us to think this way because that is what sells, whatever it is they are selling us. Or, can it be that powerful entities like government want us divided because it translates into unchecked power? As I see it, all but a few individuals are unaware of this and therefore, missing the true meaning of life. They are trained in the art of negativity instead of in an understanding that they alone are the ultimate power broker in their lives. One thing that I love more than a man made constitution is life. In order to live life to the fullest, we need to love all people. Even though we may live in different countries or have different cultures or speak a different language, we are all part of the world experience. We are not taught this important concept. Institutions that have tremendous power over people, like schools and religious entities claim, in a superficial way, to teach the importance of loving all, but in reality maybe they are part of the power structure and in the business of keeping the status quo. I am not trying to convince you to think a certain way. I am not trying to indoctrinate you into any cult etc..., I am just a person who loves life and enjoys contributing my thoughts to the readers. Because, if I can help one individual through my writing in a time of need, I would be serving in a positive way. But, this is a decision that everyone will need to make eventually. Do you want to live in a positive world and contribute in a meaningful way or would you prefer the status quo, sea of negativity and live a stressful existence?
Negativity is everywhere. Plain and simple! It is a tendency to be low energy, downbeat, disagreeable, and skeptical. It is a pessimistic attitude that always expects the worse. Negative outcomes are bad outcomes. Except for the positive person that will look at a negative outcome as a positive experience because, it will only make them stronger and better. The problem with being negative is that through the law of attraction, you will attract exactly what you dread. We have all been around negative people that just drain all our energy. At the end of the experience you are not only mentally exhausted but, physically drained as well. A great real time example is our political discourse. Regardless of the side you're on, republican or democrat, it is all negative. I believe if you want to be truly a free, loving, all powerful individual you have to let it all go. Both political parties claim they are the party of freedom. The problem is that they don't understand that true freedom is not defined by the ruling class but by the individuals themselves. They are under the erroneous belief that freedoms are given to us by the government. True freedom is letting go of negativity and understanding that you have the power within to live a free life regardless of all the noise around us. I leave you with a poem on point titled, I Dream A World."
" I dream a world where no other man will scorn, where love will bless the earth and peace its paths adorn. I dream a world where all will know sweet freedom's way, where greed no longer saps the soul nor avarice blights our day. A world I dream where black and white, whatever race you be, will share the bounties of the earth and, where man is free. Where wretchedness will hang its head and joy, like a pearl, attends the needs of all mankind. Of such I dream my world!" -Langston Hughes
It is never too late to start doing your part. Instead of depending on government or legislation to make the world a better place, lets make the world a better place with a great new attitude. It cost nothing but the results have unlimited potential.
Just a thought.
