Jay G. Perez, was born and raised in New York City as one of six siblings.  His parents immigrated from revolution torn Cuba in the late 1950's to escape Fidel Castro's regime.  They settled in New York City.

Jay's father was a server in several restaurants as that was the only thing he could do in a foreign land without any skills and unable to speak English.  As a young boy, Jay, remembered how hard it was that his father was not around much because he was working day and night to support the family.

As a young teenager, Jay went to work with his father in order to help support the family.  It was at that point that Jay decided that he wanted something more - something different for his life.  For all the grueling work that his father performed, it was never enough to break even.  The family was on welfare and lived in government subsidized housing.  "Growing up in the projects of New York City prepared me for any challenges that would inevitably cross my path." Jay would later say.

Jay was the only sibling to graduate high school.  He subsequently went on to receive his undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida and further pursued his goals by graduating with honors from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio.

Jay was a police officer in New York City and South Florida prior to his 20+ year career as an attorney.  For the past 17 years, he has been the principle owner of Jay Perez Law, where he handles cases in the area of immigration, criminal defense and family relations.

Jay watched first hand as the legal profession took its toll on many of his attorney friends and colleagues.  It is a stressful occupation and Jay watched many slip into depression and he was inspired to author and publish a book titled "The Law of 4, Life Lessons from an Enlightened Attorney", which implores the reader to live a balanced lifestyle with four vital components in the forefront of one's mind: health, wealth, love and gratitude.  Jay used his passion to motivate attorneys to succeed in their profession but most importantly in life itself.

Jay later took the Law of 4 concept and created programs not only to assist those in the legal profession but those in corporate America and individuals as well.  These are valuable lessons that can benefit everyone from young children to the elderly.

"It is easy to do well when things are going right.  But, success is how you handle the bumps on the road of life.  Giving up is easy, as it takes no effort.  Never settle for average.  Average is a thief who steals your will to achieve greatness.  I have succeeded and will continue to succeed, not because I have a magic pill but because I have the will to kill."
