HUMANITY
Humanity is defined as the human race; human beings collectively. It includes everyone on Earth. All humans without exceptions. The word comes from the Latin humanitas for, "human nature, kindness." But, I believe there is a flaw if we just concentrate on the physical aspect of humans. Humans are much more complicated than just beings. There is a meta-physical component that is omitted from the study of humans. Individuals are not taught about the aforementioned component. It is probably this way because, most individuals are not aware of anything that is not part of the physical plane. This is why most movements around the world seem to either fail or have a minimal impact. I will attempt to simplify it. With everything that is going on around the globe, from the current pandemic, (COVID-19), social unrest, income inequality, racial tensions etc..., I started to deeply meditate and think about the state of humanity. In my quest for answers, I have found an explanation. I do not have or possess any special powers. I believe that we all have the answers within. It is as easy as wanting to find the answers internally as opposed to going outward. After, I found the answer, regarding the state of humanity, I had a conversation with my wife and I told her about my understanding and how I felt relieved. It was an inspiring moment for me. I remember telling her, "I found what I was looking for!"
I have concluded that the world as it is today is a beautiful place. It is a perfect place. You may ask about now, what is the author smoking; is he blind? Doesn't he see what is going on around the world, including the United States? The answer to these questions is, I am not on any mind altering drugs. I have perfect corrected vision. Yes, I am aware of what is going on around the world and the United States. However, it all comes down to how each and everyone sees it. You see, you will never change the world. I hate to break it to you but, I truly believe you can never change the world. You can't! That is not how humanity is supposed to work. We do not have the power to change the world. Here is a question to consider. If we possess this power then, why is it that not even god or whatever your religious deity is, does not change all the misfortunes in the world? The answer is pretty clear to me. The world is a beautiful place and, our source or creator is not supposed to interfere with human evolution. It is each and everyone of us sole's responsibility to create a world as we please without any interference. If we want to change the world, we have to change ourselves. This, we have the power to do. This is our responsibility. You see the world is really, "your world." If you want to change the world, you have to change YOUR world. This is the world that we have the power to control. This is part of our purpose in life. We have to evolve and understand this infinite power within each and everyone of us. To change "your" world, you have to have this understanding. You have to be aware of this power. As I see it, most individuals forfeit this almighty power to exterior forces. Your world will never change to a peaceful and just world unless you take the necessary steps to understand this and make personal changes. Humans need to become conscious of this power. When I refer to consciousness, I am not referring to the consciousness that we are all aware of, as in when we are physically awake. I am referring to a deep consciousness. A consciousness that connects us to our spirituality, our source. Humanity to me, is a work in progress. It is a never ending endeavor. The question we all need to ask is, in what world do we want to live in? To find your answer, it behooves you to evaluate how you treat or react to others? Most individuals spent more time thinking about what they are going to have for dinner than how they treat others. Most individuals may be physically conscious but, in a deep spiritual way, they are asleep at the wheel. I hope that this article will motivate the reader to take control of their world through a deep spiritual consciousness and, an understanding that in order to change the world, they must change their world. That is how we can all make a difference for the better. I leave you with the following poem on point titled, "I Wanted To Change The World."
"When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world. I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation. When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family. Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I indeed could have changed the world. Author unknown, Monk 1100 A.D.
