VISUALIZATION
Visualization is the formation of a mental image of something. I am sure you have heard the phrase, "I'll believe it when I see it." I rather say, "I'll see it in my mind first then I'll believe it." You see forming a mental image of whatever it is you want to acquire is crucial. Visualization makes the dream of the dreamer a reality. If you can not see it first in your mind, then it does not exist. There truly is nothing that can not be achieved through visualization. I remember when I played organized sports using visualization to achieve a certain outcome. I would literally go through the mechanics of an activity in my mind the night before prior to falling asleep. In the morning, I would go through the same process. At game time when it was time to perform, more often than not the visualized outcome materialized. In fact, I felt like the execution part was easy. It was as if I already did it. Which I did several times in my mind.
This process of visualization is not just for the athlete. You can use it to materialize anything in life. Now, you can not just visualize an outcome without taking the necessary steps to achieve whatever it is you want to achieve. For example, you can not visualize being a trial attorney or doctor or Olympic runner, if you don't do the things necessary to put you in position to succeed. You can not just dream about being a lawyer without doing the underlying work and going to school to obtain the necessary education. I remember reading a book titled "The Secret" and, it left me with the impression that if you visualize something, it will magically show up. That is not what I am saying here. You see, by putting in the underlying work and setting the universal powers and energy in motion, it is very powerful in achieving your ultimate goals. And, by supplementing the aforementioned with visualization will turn a weak dream into a real possibility.
All this is within the law of probability. By this I mean, say you are in your eighties, and never played football but want to, at this ripe age, playing in the National Football Association, I would think that you would need to have a sincere talk with yourself and do an analysis based on probability. And, the end result is probably that it is more probable than not that your football career is over before it started. However, it may be more probably than not that you may be able to be involved in football in other ways not related to playing.
I can tell you from may experiences in my life that visualization is crucial in materializing whatever it is that you want. We are all created equal. We all have the same opportunity, to be and have whatever it is that we desire in life. Some may start off in a better position than others but, so what! The best lawyers and doctor's I know came from nothing. It really is not how you start that's important it is where you end up. The cards, so to say, may be stacked against you but do not let that get in the way of your dreams. Life is full of many examples where some have been spoon fed but end up in the gutter. Why is that? I'll tell you why. Because, they stifled their creative power. They had it all from the beginning so they had no need to dream big. Visualize the roll you want to play in the movie of your life. If you visualize just being an extra, then you have made your bed. Do not complain when the stars in your movie are shinning bright. Whatever you visualize of yourself, that is what you are! I leave you with a poem on point.
"Whenever you cultivate a thought remember it will trace with certain touch, its pictured form a story on your face. Whenever you dwell upon a thought, remember it will roll into your being and become a fiber of your soul. Whenever you send out a thought, remember it will be a force throughout the universe, for all eternity."
