SEMMELWEIS REFLEX
Semmelweis reflex is a human behavioral tendency to stick to preexisting beliefs and to reject fresh ideas that contradict them, despite adequate evidence. Well, well isn't that what most individuals exhibit in the area of the power of your thoughts via the mind. My wife cautions me periodically to beware of who I talk to regarding this power that we all possess because I may be mocked or considered, "Out there," with my beliefs. My response it always, I don't care what people think about me!" Don't get me wrong, it is nice to be accepted by all but my research and my convictions are my life. As much as I believe in what I think, I respect individual's choices just as equally. If you are reading my writing, you are looking for a positive change in your life. So, this is for you. It seems to me to be common sense that if you want to change your life, you have to change your way of thinking. It can't be any more easier than that. Let's just say you want to have more money. Obviously, you have to make an effort to change the way you have been taught to think about money because it has not been working for you. Some want more money but constantly think about the lack of money. Some want to get out of debt but, they literally focus their attention on debt. Or even more egregious, they have this misplaced belief that money is, "the root of all evil." It makes no sense to me, that you want more money to come your way with a strong dated, negative opinion about it.
This is not just directed at money, it is for anything in life that you want. You have to create a new self and that starts by creating a new way of thinking. We have this ability that no other specie has to decide how we no longer want to be. Listen, I get it, it is difficult to change. Especially, when our own parents, who we trust, love and who we connect their love with a sense that they only want what's best for us, have enshrined us with their way of thinking. Which in many cases it's outdated. But, maybe their way of thinking, although good for them and their generation, was not from an enlightened perspective. This is how humanity evolves. I am not necessarily saying there way was no good. What I am saying is that there way was what it was and we have the ability of changing our thinking to change our lives for the better. After all, isn't that what our parents would want for us? We have to evolve and grow from our Semmelweis reflex and create and leave the world a better place so that future generation's starting point will be the next phase of advancement.
To advance and empower your life to manifest your desires, you have to become aware of where you are currently in life. And, you need to want to make changes in your life. This is where your past comes in handy as a learning experience but, not as an excuse to not advance. Understand your past, learn from it, put it aside and move on. Your past is good to give you a perspective on your self awareness but not as an obstacle of your potential. You are where you currently are in life because of your past belief's. Whether those belief's were positive or negative is irrelevant. It is what it is. Or I should more appropriately say, it was what it was. In order to create a different life, you MUST have a different way of thinking. This is as clear as the air we breathe. Can it be painful at times? Of course but the rewards will be worth it. If you take this journey, tomorrow and your many tomorrows will be well worth it! I leave you with a poem on point.
"There's been an undeniably truth since before we ever existed. Nothing ever stays the same. Change can not be resisted."

Just a thought.
