ENTHUSIASM

Enthusiasm is energy.  Strong energy that comes from faith in whatever you want to accomplish.  Have you ever tried to do something but for some reason it is just not inspiring you?  If you are in that position, you are probably going to give up or not do a good job.  I am not a quitter, but, at this point my advise to you is to let it go.  Have a good night sleep and start fresh in the morning.  You need faith in what you are involved in to increase your enthusiasm.  If you do not have the faith in your success, then you need to ask yourself, why am I involved?  Your answer may surprise you or at the very least guide you to a calling of your interest.  I can not imagine myself being enthusiastic about being a handy man.  Not that I think I am better than a person who enjoys that line of work but, I despise trying to use tools to repair or built something.  I would rather pay someone to perform such activities for me.  So my point is, if I had to do such an activity, I would not have the faith and the enthusiasm needed to succeed.
On the flip side, when you are involved in an activity that you consider your calling or at least that you have a deep interest in, you will be inspired based on your enthusiasm and you will succeed.  And, even if the outcome was not what you expected, you will not be defeated.  The ancient Greeks, referred to enthusiasm as "being inspired by the gods."  They understood that when you were truly enthusiastic about whatever it is you are doing, it would increase your mental and physical powers.  I enjoy motivating individuals and being a life coach.  I have always seemed to attract people to me.  My wife has told me many times that people want to be like me.  After she made me aware of this, I started to take notice.  I have concluded that she is absolutely correct.  I believe from my research that being an enthusiastic individual is contagious.  People pay attention to energized, enthusiastic individuals.  I remember a colleague of mine from Texas. I had several conversations over the phone with him and subsequently I met him in person at my office in Columbus, Ohio.  One of the very first thing he said to me when we met in person was that he could feel my energy over the phone and that it was confirmed in person.  Enthusiasm and energy is magnetic.  A person with his soul on fire, so to speak, tend to fire up the souls and hearts of those around him.  I leave you with a quote by Charles Bukowski
"What matters most is how well you walk through the fire."
     Just a thought.
