SUBCONCIOUS

I am a believer in the power of the mind to create the life we want.  Today my wife and I took our daughters to a zip lining excursion through a beautiful area in Hocking Hills State Park in Southeastern Ohio.  It is a beautiful place for outdoor activities.  A great place to connect to nature.  As we were driving there we had conversations about nature and life in general.  My daughters are only 11 and 12 but they are extremely spiritual beyond their ages. I truly pity the boys that will attempt to date them one day.  So, I got to thinking about this inherent power that we all possess.  But, most of us don't use it or understand it.  Regardless of how many books I have read on the power of the mind, it all comes down to the subconscious.  Most of us are familiar with the conscious mind.  Your five senses work through your conscious mind.  We are all familiar with our five senses.  When we hear, see, taste, smell and touch, the sensing organs associated with the aforementioned senses, send information to the brain to help us understand and perceive the world around us.  This is all done through our brain or how I like to describe as the conscious mind.  In other words, we use our conscious brain when we are awake.
 But, what happens when we go to sleep?  To me that is the interesting part of our brain.  The  subconscious part or the subconscious mind.   Think about your subconscious mind and, all it does that we take for granted.  It keeps you alive, not only when you are sleeping but every second of every minute of every hour since you were born.  It regulates all your organs.  It makes sure that your heart is beating and your digestive system is working perfectly.  You don't have to think about breathing or the distribution of fluids or nutrients to your organs or the rest of you body.  We take all that for granted.  The subconscious literally occupies the whole human body.  That is the physical part of what the subconscious will do for us but, there's another important function.  From a spiritual perspective, it is our protector.  Have you ever had a feeling prior to making a decision or committing to doing something, that it just wasn't right?  That something gave you the, "Heebie Jeebies?" That was your subconscious sending you a warning.  I know, especially in my last line of work as a police officer that it saved my life on several occasions.  It was that intuition that intervened.  You don't have to be in a stressful, dangerous environment to feel this power of the subconscious.  I bet, the reader knows exactly what I am referring to, because it happens many times in everyday dealings.
 The subconscious also has the ability to lead you to whatever it is you want to accomplish in life if you use it properly.  I believe the subconscious mind is the all powerful connection to the creative force within each and every one of us.  Some call it god or universal power, or your soul.  Call it as you please.  What you call it is not important.  Understanding this power is.  If you impress upon it your true desires in life it will produce.  The problem is that most individuals do not believe in this power or impress negative thoughts upon it.  And the irony is that not only do we all have it, it takes no effort to use it.  We have all heard that most individuals only use 10% of their brains.  That is because the other 90% is part of the subconscious portion that we are not trained to use.  Can you just imagine if we were to expand out capacity of our minds to just 25%.  I encourage all to just think about this because, once you understand this power of the subconscious, that we all have at our disposal, it becomes a no brainer!  No pun intended.  I leave you with a poem on point;
 "When your conscious catches up to your subconscious, more than small miracles begin to unfold.  Your eyes see the golden sunrise.  You discover treasures within.  Your ears hear the children's laughter.  As you become young and alive again.  You smell essence of life as you taste life again.  And, touch the soul of god."
