SILENCE

I would bet that most, if not all ideas, that materialize into making an impact for the better in the world originated in silence.  I can say unequivocally that my best ideas have always originated when I was in a state of silence.  I believe that is so, because silence takes us closer to our source.  Meaningful prayer or meditation is done in silence.  In silence, we block out all external distractions which helps us focus on what it is we are trying to accomplish.  If you think about it, any activity that requires your mind and  thought process to activate, is performed in silence.  Walk into any library and the first rule is to be silent.  Why is silence so important? Why is silence, which, in reality is literally nothing, so important?  Because in a spiritual  way it takes you to another dimension.
This nothingness which is odorless, weightless, and formless in essence is God.  God by all accounts is all love.  Anything that is good or loving is God.  When I refer to God, I am referring to a universal power that is all present.  I am not referring to a religious God.  I am not a religious person.  However, I am a spiritual person.  My purpose in life is to open the reader's mind to  a life of total abundance in all aspects, not to convert anyone into any religion or association.  There can only be good in the world because if god is all love then love can not create evil or bad.  The evil that does exist is created by individuals, not pure love.  Unfortunately, I have ample experience in dealing with evil in my past career as a New York City police officer.  I can only conclude from seeing and dealing with evil, that it is  all individually made.
In general,  a common denominator for individuals that do evil things is that they have this erroneous belief that they are walking alone in life.  That life has dealt them a bad hand.  That some are meant to be successful and others are not.  And, the ones that are not are supposed to work for the ones that are.  That is just the way they perceive life in their minds.  Nothing could be farther  from the truth!!  We were all created from the same source.  There is no easier way of saying it.  The problem as I see it, is that individuals that choose an undesirable life, have separated from their source.  From pure love or God.  No matter what the path ahead looks like we are never alone.  "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."  Psalm 23:4
Silence is how to reconnect or stay connected to your source.  Silence is a very powerful tool.  If you look at successful individuals in all walks of life, they seem to find a way to reconnect with this all powerful source.  For me mediation is a way to accomplish this.  I usually meditate just before falling asleep at night.  But, it is also wise to meditate when an issue arises and you need answers.  More often then not, when I meditate, I find what I am looking for.  I leave you with a poem about silence.
 "Silence is profound.
 Silence is a conversation.
 Silence is an expression.
One that can not be heard.
 Silence can not be spoken.
 Although it is a word.
Silence is a presence of great nothingness.
 Silence can be something.
 And yet cease to exist.
Silence can fill a room .
And have no mass at all.
 Silence can not be dropped.
 Yet it can fall.
 Silence is a mystery.
 That will forever go unsolved.
 Silence is how every sound,
 can swiftly be dissolved.
Silence is the sound of rest.
The only sound that can sound best.
While other sounds can cause great pain,
silence is not the sound of blame.
For silence is what silence is.
 Something that is nothing.
 Nothing that exist.
