I AM
I read a book once titled "Three Magic Words," written by Uell S. Andersen, first published in 1954. It was an amazing read on the topic of spirituality. The author is a spiritually enlightened individual who believes, as I do, that we attract into our lives the physical manifestations of the thoughts we think. And, in order to attract good instead of evil we must learn to control our thinking. To think positively instead of negatively. Individually, we must be able to choose our thoughts. We are the only species at this time in evolution that is endowed with this power of thought and the will to do as we please. If a person thinks only in response to their conscious stimulus of the outer world, or the world as we can decipher through out senses, they remain in the ego. But, when we originate thoughts from the center of our subconsciousness or super-consciousness, we create our own life in the image of our thoughts. What transformed me from an average Joe to an enlightened individual is the belief in this power of the mind that we all possess. I do not possess special powers or special abilities that were just given to me. If I were to believe that, I would be misleading and arrogant. This ability is in all of us. Regardless of where you are or who you are.
Let me share a personal story. At birth, my parents named me, are you ready for this, hope your are sitting and no one else is around because you are either going to let out a loud laugh or release one of your biological functions, JESUS! Very funny right? but, true! For me it was difficult growing up with that name and being a Catholic. In addition, for those who know me know that although, I am a spiritual person, I am not a religious person. Another issue was that my classmates and friends and quit frankly everyone I knew did not know how to pronounce my name. The common pronunciation was "Hey sus." So, when I became an adult, I had my name legally changed to "Jay!"
Back to the book, "Three Magic Words," it is not until the very end, that the author reveal's what the three magic words are. And, that is, that "YOU ARE GOD!" That is very revealing. At least to me because I believe that we came from somewhere and upon death we are going somewhere. Of course, our mom and dad got together and did the traditional things for us to be here but, it is much more deeper than that. We came through our parents but, that is not the whole story. There first had to be a mental picture of what a person looked like. In the bible, that was what happened when god created the world. In the beginning was the "Word." The mental concept. The image on god's mind of what he was thinking. And, then that image, manifested into flesh. It took on shape and substance. And since we are all, every single one of us with no exceptions, created in god's image then, we are all god. You see, god is internal not an external source as many religions teach. We have all the power ourselves to live a life of our choosing. The reason we have poverty , illness and misery in life is because many do not understand or believe in this power. I get it, how difficult this way of thinking is because there are many forces at play that don't want you to know this because they lose control. Churches, politicians, pharmaceutical companies, medical professions, etc. All these aforementioned entities would lose their power and control if you know this truth. And that my friends will set you free!
First the words and then the thoughts that you decide to put in your mind will manifest into your life. So, next time you say "I AM," beware of the power behind those words. If you follow I am with negativity like, I am sick, I am poor, I am a loser etc., that is what you are. If you follow it with positive, loving words such as, I am healthy, I am love, I am successful, I am abundance, I am courageous, I am intelligent etc., you will be exactly that. And don't forget the most powerful of all "I AM'S," I AM GOD! I leave you with a poem on point;
"Where is god? Asked the child, so young so innocent. He is here, he is there, he is everywhere said the mother. Show me god cried the child. He is in heaven looking down on you said the father. Who is god? Wailed the child. Let's see, smiled the teacher. He whose eyes shed tears in the misery of others. Whose helping hands extend in difficult hours. Whose loving heart envelops others for ever and ever, he is god. Now I know god exclaimed the enlightened child!! I AM GOD!!
