EBULLITION
Success is noting more than a strong , unrelenting desire to do whatever it is you want to do. You have to feel an ebullition in your soul to manifest your dreams. It's a lifestyle. It is getting up in the morning and going to bed at night with the thought in your mind of what it is you want. Not just wish for, but, truly want. A want that consumes you. A want that you will do anything to achieve. And, of course we start with the premise that what you want is legal, ethical and morally acceptable in society. Many will not succeed because there is a price to pay for such a want. There are many sacrifices, and habits that need to be changed. A young person may need to honker down and hit the books in order to succeed while his friends are socializing. That youngster is paying the price. That's because when he becomes a renowned scientist, doctor or lawyer, etc..., while his school buddies are in and out of prison or AAA meetings, he can see that the price he paid in his younger days was worth it. The business owner who puts in, an enormous amount of hours towards the viability of his business and is rewarded for paying the price, will tell you it was all worth it. The athlete who trained countless hours while his friends were enjoying life, will tell you it was worth it after winning the gold medal in the Olympics.
I understand that there has to be a balance in life but the desire must remain, in order to succeed. Success in life comes with a price. The question is how much are you willing to pay? You can not truly accomplish, if you are not willing to pay the price. And, not only pay but, pay full price. It's common sense. At least to me it is. You can't have that million dollar house if you are not willing to pay full price for it because, someone else is willing to pay the full price for it, if they want it bad enough. I remember reading an old oriental fable that a teacher took a pupil on a boat and unbeknownst to the pupil, the teacher pushed the pupil overboard and held the pupil under water. The pupil was fighting and gasping for air to survive as we all would in our right state of mind. When the pupil was pulled back on board after experiencing this horrific feeling of drowning, the teacher asked him, "tell me what was the one thing you desired above all others before I pulled you out." The pupil responded, "air!" This obviously is an extreme example but it stresses the point. You have to be totally focused and, desperately want it bad enough to succeed.
If you are comfortable where you are in life then, this writing is not for you. Life is about growing regardless of where you currently are in life. If you are done growing, you will wither away and die. There is no other purpose for you in life if you are content. I am not saying you can't enjoy the fruits of your accomplishments and take vacations. I am saying that once you have achieved your dream, then what? The answer is clear to me. Create other dreams and keep moving forward. Remember the old saying, "an idle brain is the devil's workshop." Even though I don't believe in the devil, the point is clear. I leave you with a poem on point;
"Everything in life has a price to pay. Everything you want in life has a price connected to it. There's a price to pay if you want to make things better, a price to pay just for leaving things as they are, a price for everything."
Harry Browne
Just a thought.
