A CLOCK

I have learned that for me the easiest way to connect to my source is through meditation.  On many occasions, through meditation, I have had  out of body experiences.  Out of body experiences are usually associated with individuals that have had the misfortune of being in a near death situation after a traumatic accident or event.  They then end up coming back to life and share their experiences.  I am grateful that I have never been in such a traumatic situation.  However, my out of body experiences as aforementioned, have come while meditating.   I have discussed these experiences with my wife and her only response is, "make sure you come back."  I can only explain these experiences as a sensation of being separated from my physical body and being able to see my body from a different location in the room.  And, feeling a nothingness about me and totally weightless.  Then, after awhile when I'm ready, I start feeling my body again and I'm back to the conscious component of the physical plane.  So after one of these deep meditation states, I remember that time was irrelevant.  In fact, when I came back to the conscious state I was surprized at how much time went by.  So I started thing about a clock - hence the title to this article.
The clock I'm referring to is a metaphorical clock.  A traditional clock is round and it has a clockwise rotation of 24 hours.  Therefore, life as I see it, can be broken down to this metaphorical clock into 4 quarters.  Each quarter will consist of 25  year increments.  From zero to twenty five years of age, the first quarter, that is when individuals are the farthest away from their spiritual self.  At this stage youth and inexperience go hand in hand.  The individual is guided by their conscious self or their  five senses.  At this stage it's all about the self.  The next stage, the following 25 years is the same as the first 25 years but, the individual starts looking beyond the personal self.  They still have a strong guidance by the conscious self or the senses but, at this stage the individual starts asking questions about spirituality and the soul as it relates to life on earth.  Between this stage and the next stage, the succeeding 25 years, this is where enlightenment may occur.  At this stage the individual starts to ask  questions that we all have.  The life questions that we must answer.   Why are we here? And, who are we?  At this stage, there will be an awakening and a sense of relief because the aforementioned life questions will be answered.  The individual, at this sage has life experience and starts moving closer to returning back to their source.  The place that they came from and where they are eventually going back to.    In the final stage of this metaphorical life clock is the last 25 years.  This is between the ages of 75-100.  At this stage there is a deep spiritual connection and understanding of life.  At this stage individuals start connecting the dots backwards and are at peace knowing that they lived a full and purposeful life.  At this stage death is knocking at the door but instead of not answer and fearing it, the individual accepts the terms of the life contract, opens the door wide and smiles.  The individual understands that they are more than just a physical body.  The  real part of their existence is spiritual.  They understand they are an infinite being in a temporary body but, their essence never dies.  But instead are, reuniting with their source.  Moreover, at this final stage,  individual are grateful for having the privledge to have lived at this time and place.
I hope that this article will open up the reader's mind to view life and its purpose as more than just through the consciousness of the physical plane.  I truly love writing about life.  We are all on a life voyage.  We all have the same questions about our purpose in life.  Some would rather ignore them and just live life as they see it.  To me, life is not just meant to be lived but to be explored, create and grow.  We all have the power to live as we please through our inherit power of our mind to think and choose our life.  Your clock is running.  The time is yours to live a beautiful life.  I leave you with a poem on point titled, "The Clock of Life."
"The clock of life is wound but once, and no man has the power to tell just when the hands will stop at late or early hour.  To lose one's wealth is sad indeed, to lose one's health is more, to lose one's soul is such a loss that no man can restore.  The present only is our own, to live, love, toil with a will, place no faith in tomorrow, for the clock may then be still."
