VIDEO
I enjoy watching movies. Sometimes, I'll watch a movie a few times and if it's that great I may save it from a streamlining service into my video library. So, I started thinking about movies and videos and a question kept coming up in my mind. That question is, what if your life was a movie? What if someone was filming your life from the time you were of a reasoning age to the present? With all the reality TV shows, what would be your reality script? Would the movie of your life be one where someone will want to watch over and over? In essence life is a movie. Everything you do is recorded. Not onto a video in a traditional sense but, it is recorded in your mind. You see everything you do, all the experiences you go through have led you to where you are today. Your life is your personal movie. Your mind, thoughts and experience are part of your movie library which steer you one way or another. The wonderful thing about your life movie is that you decide the script and so you can control the final product. If you don't like the way things are going in your life movie, you can easily change it. What I have learned in my life is that my life movie has had many changes. When I was younger and made many unwise decisions, I had a certain script in line with that time. When I got a bit older and wiser, my script changed. When I became a husband and a father, my script changed again. When I discovered the importance of personal development which led me to enlightenment, my script changed again. I expect my script to continue to change because, I believe change is the essence of living. You must continue moving ahead and tweaking your script or, you are standing still and metaphorically rotting away. We all have the power to change our life.
I know many who have told me that they are too old to change or that they wish they could have done this or that. To me that sounds more akin to an excuse for not changing your life for the better. If you really think about it life is not a secret. Although there are things that happen that may seem on the surface to be negative, it was meant to be that way so we can learn to become better. I truly believe that at times, negativity is a positive. Sounds crazy but let me explain, before you make a snap decision to stop reading. We can all learn from negativity. We have all heard the adage that the glass is half full. And yes, I rather see the glass as half full, but someone may say well, it's also half empty. And they would be right. We need to understand that negativity will always exist, so use it as a learning tool as opposed to a tool of destruction. Would you not want to know how someone truly messed up their life so you can learn from bad decisions? Wouldn't you want to listen to a financial advisor that went bankrupt so you will hopefully learn from his mistake? You see negative experiences happen to successful and not successful individuals. The issue is not to repeat the same mistake. Life is a continuing movie. If you are reading this article, your movie has not been completed. When it's all said and done, will your movie be one that will be saved in someone's movie library to follow as an example towards success or will it be a waste of time and unworthy of watching? It truly is your choice. I leave you with a quote on point. "Life is like a movie and I do my own stunts." Author unknown.
Just a thought.
