LIFE
Life is what you want it to be. It is a continual changing condition preceding death. Look at yourself and you can see this change every day. You are not the same that you were yesterday or a month ago or a few years ago. Change is a necessary component of life. The trouble with most of us is that we are mentally lazy. We prefer to let life come to us and do whatever life does. Most individuals do not live life. They live to die. That is how most individuals are taught. A significant part of your life is how you use your mind. You need to open up your way of thinking. Plow the roads of you mind of all the garbage that has accumulated up until now. Make room for the new you. Make room for all the good that will come your way if you allow it. Change your attitude towards life. We are only here for a short time. So ask yourself, do you want to live your life as you desire with all the good that is available to you or would you rather have life live you and bounce you around like the waves against the rocks with no purpose?
And, I hate to break it to you but once you have accomplished your goal, then what? Are you done or are you going to continue to strive and set other goals? Think about it this way, after an athlete becomes a champion, what is one of the first things he or she will say? That they are going to start training soon to win another championship. You see that is a perfect example of the creative forces within all of us for continual change and growth. That is life! It is pretty common in sports but we all have this burning desire in us. If your goal was to save $100,000, once you have that nestled in the bank, you will probably start on your next $100,000. Myself, once I accomplished my goal of becoming an attorney, I set other goals. And once I accomplish those goals I set other ones. You should never settle in and allow your current success to stop you from continuing to create and grow. You should never be satisfied with achieving just one success. This is the law of life! You can not stand still. Complacency is equivalent to death.
Some like to blame their misfortune on their environment. It is common and easy to blame everyone and everything for your lack of success. But, it really is all within you. If you are honest with yourself, you will see that all your problems are your fault. The sum of all the bad choices and negative attitude. Understanding this is a critical step towards changing your life for the better. So look at yourself closely and have a sincere talk with yourself. And as I stated earlier plow the junk out of your mind that has interfered in your forward progress. If you do this self evaluation, you will live the life you have always wanted. I leave you with a poem on point;
"If you knew your self for even a moment, if you could just glimpse your most beautiful face, maybe you wouldn't slumber so deeply in that house of clay. Why not move into your house of joy and shine into every crevice. For you are the secret treasure bearer, and always have been."
