HEALTH
"All the world's a stage" is the phrase that begins a monologue from William Shakespeare's pastoral comedy as you like it, spoken by the Melancholy Jacques in Act II Scene VII line 138. The speech compares the world to a stage and life to a play. I like to go further and say, " all the world's a big stage and we're all being played by pharmaceutical companies". If you watch television or pick up any commercial publication, one thing is for certain, we are all being played by the drug industry. There are drugs for ailments that I never knew existed. And, once they have you convinced to take a drug for one of those aliments you then need to take another one to assist your liver in processing the chemicals. Then you'll need another drug to protect the liver and if that's not enough, you'll need another drug to help you sleep because all of these drugs combined may keep you up at night.
I believe health is a mind set. It's an outlook of how you see yourself. Seeing yourself in ill health or perfect health goes a long way towards your overall personal health. Remember, most of us came to this planet as cute little babies in perfect health, stress and worry free. It's only later in life that we develop fears and stress which ultimately eat us up and lead us to all our aliments and problems. It all goes back to how you think!! Case in point. I have a family member who would always tell me that she was lactose intolerant. She was told this since she was very little. Anytime she had dairy products, she would physically get sick. Later in life as a middle age adult she started thinking that her lactose intolerance was all in her mind. And, like a miracle, although it really wasn't because she always had that god given power in her like we all do, her lactose intolerance vanished!! No drugs or therapy assisted her. It was only her mind that cured her and how she decided to use that power to her advantage. She missed out on a whole lot of ice cream in her youth.
Therefore, think healthy, act healthy and your life will change for the better. Changes will automatically start happening from diet to physical activity. Just like the law of gravity plays a role when you drop a ball from a roof and it drops to the side walk. No difference with the law of health. Once you start thinking positive healthy thoughts, you start making better choices about your health and it will open a lane you never knew existed. I leave you with a quote on point by Mahatma Gandhi. "It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver."
Just a though!
